After extensive research into sustainability practices of restaurant chains around the UK, we're proud to have been assessed as the most sustainable restaurant group in the UK amongst our peers.
Renowned consumer research body Which? asked 28 UK restaurant groups what they are doing to be more sustainable, and compared the results. Wahaca topped the league table with the highest eco-credentials.
We are extremely proud of our sourcing credentials, collaborating with sustainable suppliers in and around the UK. We partner with regenerative farmers such as Grassroots, where we source our beef, and Wildfarmed, which provides our flour.
We've made a conscious effort to reduce the amount of beef on our menu, and have partnered with Grassroots to ensure that the beef we do use is raised sustainably and with minimal wastage.
Over 50% of our menu is plant-based and we're also the only restaurant in Which's survey that lists the carbon emissions for each of the dishes on our menu.
