Over the last few weeks the Wahaca team and our amazing chefs have been busy cooking up hundreds of meals a week with our partners COOK-19. They are a volunteer led project who collect food donations and restaurant quality cooked meals and deliver them directly to NHS ICU departments and key workers in isolation.
When I first read about the work COOK-19 and Angela Hartnett were doing I immediately got in touch as I knew Wahaca could help.
The COOK-19 team were amazing from the beginning, and our partnership got off the ground in a matter of days – it was the perfect combination of speed, efficiency, exceptionally high safety standards partnered with the passion, energy and enthusiasm from our volunteer chefs!
We are looking forward to continuing to provide as many meals we can to those key workers who need it, supporting COOK-19 and the fantastic work they are doing!
