Inspiring young lives

Our charity partner in Mexico is EDNICA, a UNESCO backed charity supporting children whose parents live and work on the street. So far we have donated over £200,000 since 2012.

Our donations help to educate children about nutrition, technology, morals and working together. The simple objective is to give them the opportunities their parents never got.

We aim to visit Ednica once a year and spend a few days getting to know the amazing children that our donations support. It is always an enriching experience for everyone, and means so much to us to be able to see how our donations are giving the children of Ednica a more enriched and fulfilling life.

GIVING BACK

We are certified Carbon Neutral, we take lots of steps internally to be the best we can, but where we have unavoidable energy usage we offset this.  We choose our offsetting projects carefully, so that we not only give back to the planet, but it’s people too – in the country that gave us our inspiration, Mexico.

We support Improved Cookstoves a project which provides better stoves to families to reduce emissions and has a positive impact on physical and financial health too.

Another of our offsetting projects is a wind turbine farm which not only produces renewable energy, it runs activities with local communities – providing workshops, health screenings and reforestation programmes.

FUELING THE NEXT GENERATION

We believe that all children should have access to nutritious meals and that’s not always the case.  We support Kitchen Social, an inclusive programme tackling the issues of food insecurity and social isolation by supporting over 100 community hubs in London to provide good food and enriching activities to children in their local area.

Kitchen Social receive a donation for every kids meal enjoyed in our restaurants, so far from our donations they have been able to provide close to 4,000 free, nutritious meals to children from low-income families during the school holidays who are at risk of food insecurity because free school meals are not available.
